On the iPhone application there is the ability to tag a friend saying you are with them. This doesn't seem to be possible on 4th & Mayor. Are there plans to add this feature?161 votes
I’ll review this for a release after 4.0.
Like on the official app for IOS it would be nice if you could mention people in check-ins.141 votes
Show the list of places ordered by distance63 votes
This is being considered for version 4.0 for Windows Phone 7.5, 7.8, and 8.0.
At the moment, on the fousquare web page a whole list of friend's check-ins can be seen, it would be nice to see the same feature here.60 votes
This should be corrected in the new 4.0 release.
Ability to check into events as locations.45 votes
This feature will be in version 4.0.
My girlfriend could do this with her IPhone before I freed her from sheepdom and conviced her to get a Nokia Lumia 920. But it was a cool feature I have to admin.44 votes
“Event check-in” is under review for update 4.0.
I’ll review this for a release after 4.0. Does anyone know if this is the current behavior of the official iOS app for foursquare, or did they change this with the timeline alterations, etc.?
This may be in the 4.0 release – same as the other issue to support “event” check-ins.
It would be nice to add support for checking in via NFC. The NFC Interactor app allows you to open 4th and Mayor and send arguments to the app using the LaunchApp option.31 votes
This support was demoed at the Microsoft Company Meeting in September 2012 but has not yet shipped for Windows Phone 8. It should be in the 4.0 release for phone 8. Thanks for your support!
Thanks, I hope to correct this in update 4.0.
I can help you with the translation.29 votes
Localization will come online soon after the 4.0 release, I’ve asked in the past people interested in providing localization support with some development expertise to e-mail email@example.com.
4square is very popular in Russia. Please, add Russian language in your application.25 votes
Localization of languages is a project that will come online once the 4.0 version is ready for release – it will likely be in >= 4.1.
Utilize new WP8 Uri asscciations as described here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsphone/develop/jj206987(v=vs.105).aspx
I wanna add for my app ability to checking via 4th and Mayor and new API for this is very handy.22 votes
I'm thinking of adding History as a pivot option in addition to "profile" and "social."21 votes
Right now on your profile, “check-ins” can be touched and it will open a page that shows your history under the profile.
It will show maybe the last 15-25 places, but scrolling beyond is a limitation of the current 4th & Mayor app.
I will consider for future releases what it would take to add paging or infinite scrolling to go through additional old check-ins.
As a foursqure superuser, I frequently am editing and merging foursquare locations, but I have no good way to do so on the go. I currently have to mark the location in a to-do list and come back to it and make the edits at home. Being able to make edits on the fly, or review and approve other superusers edits would definatly improve the overall experience of the 4sq community. I would be happy to help in any way that I can.20 votes
As a su myself, there are some options – mostly though for venue owners (not superusers) through the standard 3rd party API. I’ll look into it – but likely this behavior either is going to take some time to get out, it is a new sub-product almost.
The friend list shows all nearby activity on top, you have to scroll all the way down to see activity from friends not nearby. Would be great to be able to switch the view so you can see all your friends check ins in chronological order (already possible on the website and in iOS and Android apps)19 votes
Need to know how many days until I am mayor - regardless of how high the number is. This could be user option on/off
there are certian venues that i want to be mayor of. I need to know how to build a strategy to achieve that and being 10 days out or 60 days out is a big difference :-)19 votes
Considering this for update 4.0. Thanks for your support!
Nearby places should be in the main page pivot19 votes
Although this was in the 1.0 family of versions of 4th & Mayor, it was removed at the same time that the official foursquare apps for iOS and Android removed the list of nearby places, moving it to a separate page for check-in only.
The idea is that the Explore tab/pivot item is now used to show nearby places of interest, more than just any nearby place.
What do you think the scenario would be here of seeing nearby places outside the check-in page?
In version 3.12, the points are back on the checkin result screen, but the badges are still missing. Please ask them to come back.14 votes
This fix hopefully will happen in either a future 3.x update or 4.0.
in addition to list view14 votes
I like this idea a lot as the official iOS app has a similar UI. It will take some time but I’m reviewing options for it, thank you.
